Why we named her Maya

The name Maya carries illusion, measure, and mother. We chose it for Kulissa's AI Sales Coach because soft practice is the illusion we refuse, and hard rehearsal is the measure that sticks.

We did not name the coach after a stock persona pack. We named her after a word that already argues with polite practice.

Maya, across the traditions that keep the name alive, points at illusion, measure, and mother. Soft sales roleplay is the illusion: a buyer who waits their turn, never stacks objections, and claps when you finish your pitch. Deliberate practice is the measure: interrupted turns, recovered threads, scores with transcript evidence. And the coach that stays after the LMS module ends is the mother of the habit: present every morning, not only when a manager finds an hour.

That is why the public gatekeeper and the Omnichannel Agent Sphere share one face. One name. One standard. If the homepage buyer were called something cute and forgettable, visitors would treat the demo as entertainment. Maya is a claim about how hard the conversation should feel before it costs a deal.

Illusion we refuse

Training content scales. Practice usually does not. Teams still book calendar role-play, or skip it, then learn on live accounts. Bridge Group and ATD/Gartner numbers keep repeating the same story: long ramp, thin quota attainment, unused training that fades. A polite chatbot flatters the pitch and trains the wrong muscle.

Maya's job is to break that illusion in under a minute. She interrupts. She changes temperature. She refuses the easy close. If you only want a mirror that nods, you want a different product.

Measure that managers can coach from

The name also has to survive the enterprise pitch. Buyers do not buy vibes. They buy readiness they can see. So Maya is not only a voice. She is the face of scored practice against the customer's own methodology, with evidence managers can quote. The measure is the transcript, not a star rating on "energy."

That is the same nerve we ship in the Practice SaaS and then push into the Omnichannel Agent Sphere: chat, social, meetings, wherever the buyer already is. One coach, one standard, many channels.

Why not a codename

Internal codenames die in press kits. Public names either become brand or become embarrassment. We chose a short name that works in English, French, and German markets without sounding like a feature flag. It fits on a signature line. It fits on a deck slide.

If you want the field notes from building her, read what we learned building Maya. If you want more on the name and easy practice, read the name Maya and the illusion of easy practice. Or just try her.

See it on your own playbook.
